| ...Abarrane was brought before the Goth King, and there she saw the body of her husband. Before her very eyes, the King separated his head. The head of Unai was then passed to a servant, who tossed it into the fire. The smell of charred hair and flesh filled the room, and once it began to pass, the skull, now clean, was fished from the ashes and given to the King. The King than cut into Unai's body, and allowed what remained of Unai's blood to collect inside the skull. Once this was completed, it was given to Abarrane. As was their custom, the Visigoth demanded that Abarrane drink. This she did, but in the process, she called forth a dark curse that blotted out the sun and brought fourth terrible thunder from the sky. .. |
